the cheapest leather pumpsthe cheapest leather pumpsYou may already know that leather is a sign of quality when it comes to shoes, but did you know that it is possible to get brand new, leather shoes that are comfortable and stylish for less than $10!

At the original list price of $29.99, these brown leather shoes would have been yet another great bargain from Isaac Mizrahi. On clearance for $7.49, they’re a steal!

But how comfortable could they be at that price? The reviews are absolutely glowing and one happy wearer calls them “the most comfortable heels EVER.”

And of course, the simple style and neutral color ensure that you’ll find plenty of excuses to wear them.

They’re currently available in sizes 6-12 and ship to the U.S. and APO/FPO addresses.

Wow, nice price! (And the shoes of course) I have a question - if anybody “out there” has Isaac Mizrahi shoes - are they true to size? Or do they run a bit small/large? Thank you Meg and everybody.

    Hi Tanya,

I’m glad you like the shoes!

I have one pair and they’re true to size, but it’s a very different style. Since these are leather, they should have a little more give if needed.

Another thing to consider is that they ship from Target. I mention this, because their customer service is excellent and you can return many items to your local store if you want. Plus, when I got my rain boots recently, there was a small problem with the pattern. I emailed customer service asking what I should do and before I even expected a reply there was a new pair on my doorstep!

By the way, I hope to write up the black pair later so keep a look out for them in the next few days if you don’t find them before then.

Wow, amazing price! And I do need a good pair of plain leather pumps. The question is, do I get the cheaper brown one or the black ones that cost twice as much, though still cheap? (I don’t have the classic black pumps that are often on essential shoes lists)

Though, I suppose, it is worth mentioning that I do already have 2 pairs of black close-toed heels/pumps.

    Hi Jennifer!

I say, go with the pair that will fill the greatest need in your wardrobe.

If you don’t have a nice pair of brown shoes already, that may be the way to go — unless you don’t wear a lot of brown and don’t really plan to.

Black pumps don’t have to be completely ‘classic’ to be very versatile, though closed-toe is definitely a good thing in that respect. That said, it’s hard to go wrong with a pair of classic black pumps.

Of course, in cases like this, I’m usually pretty indecisive and end up buying both. Seriously, I did that recently when I couldn’t decide between two skirts that were nearly identical except that one was black and one was a very, very dark navy.

I guess my question was, the brown looks so much like grey or black, that I wonder if it look gray/black in real life, making it the better deal to get that.

Also, I looked up the product on target.com, and the reviews are a bit less positive: http://www.target.com/Isaac-Mizrahi-Target-Leather-Pumps/dp/B000GH3ULS Still not sure about buying these, just because it’s hard to tell how a shoe will fit from online :P

    Hi Jennifer,

In my experience, a really dark brown doesn’t work well as black substitute because it can sometimes give the impression that you’re just color blind (like if you wore them with an all black ensemble and no other bits of brown). On the other hand, you can wear black and brown together, if you make it look like you mixed them purposefully (ex. adding a brown belt and brown bag to the otherwise black outfit). It’s harder to mix brown and gray, in my experience, and it’s sometimes hard to mix very different browns, but other than that it usually plays well with other colors.

Thanks for checking out the Target reviews! I wonder if that one reviewer has the same problem I have — narrow heels. If the heel is the only problem, then that can usually be fixed easily with a pair of heel pads. Many of my shoes end up with them. I get mine at Walgreens, but they’re easy to find. Of course, if they really did order a size too big, I hope they returned them. Target does a wonderful job of returns in my experience.
